We also recommend that while a technician is on site that we carry out a Microwave Leakage and Safety Test. This ensures that the levels of radiation emitted from your microwave oven are within the recommended limits.

Microwave ovens provide a convenient and safe way of cooking food in the workplace, however faults can occur and unless periodically tested they may become a health and safety hazard without you being aware.

Frequent use can lead to the door seals failing this can lead to leakage levels in excess of the recommended limit.

Testing of this equipment involves measuring the levels of radiation around the oven using microwave detection equipment to ensure compliance with legal limits. Also inspected is the door, lock and door seals for any signs of damage to ensure that they function correctly and safety.

On completion and pass of this inspecting a sticker, we will attach to the microwave to show it complies with the following standards:
